- Client's Need
DK-Lok USA, the United States distribution partner for DK Tech Corporation, an industrial parts company, needed localization and significant customization of the international site that would additionally sync data with both their on-site parts warehouse as well as the international parts data repository.
- My Solution
I ported the structure and basic XHTML/CSS provided to DK-Lok USA by the international team's web department. Our database administrator and I then created a series of connection scripts that would connect to both their local parts inventory software's database and the international parts data repository using CRON jobs to sync the data for the search function and the PHP/MySQL wholesale inventory section (requires login). I additionally provided numerous customizations including some image editing (including localizing a number of image files from Korean to English).
